Few artists have a style as instantly recognisable as Moroccan-British artist Hassan Hajjaj. Encompassing photography, fashion, installation and design, his new exhibition, My London Rockstars, Ends to Estates, celebrates the UK capital and the people shaping its cultural identity.

Fusing north African aesthetics with pop art and global street style, Hajjaj’s vibrant portraits are now on show at Sotheby’s Story Café.

The creation and nurturing of community is at the core of Hajjaj’s work. This continuation of his My Rockstars series, which focuses on the artists who inspire him, includes painter Olaolu Slawn, fashion designer Clint 419, rapper Central Cee and singer Joy Crookes

As curator, writer, and broadcaster Ekow Eshun says, Hajjaj’s “portraits are acts of affirmation; images that insist multiculturalism continues to be one of London’s greatest creative forces”.

Hassan Hajjaj: My London Rockstars, Ends to Estates is on view from 13 July to 7 August 2026 at Sotheby’s Story Café and is shown in association with Vigo Gallery.
